El estilo straight-ahead jazz rock
progresivo de Hector es muy facil de escuchar, con sus nueve composiciones
originales presentadas aquí. El guitarrista mezcla bien el acompañamiento de los
teclados y el resultado es una generosa entrega que nunca deja a los oyentes.
‘Cosas simples’ es un trabajo maravilloso que merece mucho tiempo de aire en la
radio lo mismo que ‘Las luces del Norte’ , track que lleva el nombre del álbum.
Para esos oyentes del jazz que quieren oir algo refrescante, nuevo y progresivo,
este CD llenará bien sus espectativas. Cada canción esta realizada
perfectamente por músicos que se preocupan por lo que ellos dicen
musicalmente y quieren compartir esos sentimientos especiales con los oyentes.

Muy lindos los arreglos . El piano como apertura del tema y después al haber incluido lo del teclado, el tema adquiere un ambiente de relax, como tirarte un rato en el pasto abierto. el solo que empieza a los 2min27segundos tiene un efecto relindo. El solo de guitarra fluye bien con un toque de jazz, especialmente el segundo solo que es más energético, distorsionado, con una escala de notas que avanza bien. la verdad, muy bueno el tema, que de a poco avanza hasta chocar al final.

Este tema es muy interestante y muy orgánico. Muy bien tocado, la melodía bien pensado con la sequencia del tambor que mueve tal como hace una brisa ligera que paso por un campo lleno de pasto alto y flores silvestres. La composición sútil de la instrumentación ayuda en contra del aburrimiento auricular. Yo elegiría un tema como este sobre cualquiera de la basura pop que aparece hoy día en la música común que se eschucha por todos llados. En su totalidad, muy bien hecho y el compositor merece elogios de más por haberse alejado de las fórmulas típicas y a la vez por hacer compuesto una pieza hermosa, orgánica, y que es bastante agradable para cualquier género de música.

La canción va creciendo, de un susurro llega a ser un tema poderoso que cubre todo el espectro sónico.Lo que más me gusta es la guitarra principal. El sonido es excelente, con una sensación de frescura, muy bien tocado con sentimiento de verdad.

"Beautiful piano to open the song and then with the addition of the keyboard. the song becomes very relaxing like laying in a field of grass. the solo at 2.27 sounds real cool with the effect. nice jazzy flowing guitar solo, especially like the second solo with a little more energy and distortion and better scale runs.cool overall song thats builds slowly into a jam at the end."

I'd take a tune like this over any of the mundane highly regularized and formulated crap in the garageband pop category anyday.Overall, well done and the writer gets bonus points for staying away from formulas while creating a nice organic piece which is enjoyable across any genere."
